Auto Refresh Privacy Policy
Auto Refresh does not collect, track, or send any of your data. Everything stays on your device.
What We Collect
Nothing.
Auto Refresh does not collect any personal information, browsing history, or usage data. No analytics. No accounts. No sign-ups.
What We Store Locally
Which tabs you've set to refresh and their interval, in seconds. Saved locally on your device using chrome.storage.local. Cleared when you stop a tab's refresh or when you restart the browser.
This data never leaves your device. It is not sent to any server, and we have no way to access it.
Why We Need Each Permission
Auto Refresh only asks for the permissions it needs to work. Here is what each one does:
alarmsSchedule each tab's next reload on its own timer.
storageRemember which tabs you've set to refresh so the schedule survives the service worker going to sleep.
activeTabRead the tab you have open in the popup so you can set a timer for it.
tabsReload the right tab when its timer fires, clean up when you close it, and re-arm the timer if the browser put the tab to sleep.
scriptingReserved for a future stop-on-keyword feature. Not used in this version.
Third-Party Services
Auto Refresh does not connect to any external servers, analytics tools, or advertising networks. It works fully offline after you install it.
